Note: Jib Cranes should never be hung from any existing building structure without first consulting an architect or structural engineer. The responsibility in determining if the existing structure or support to be used is adequate, rests entirely on the customer. Capacities, Spans: The wall cantilever styles are available in , 1, 1-1/2, 2, 3, 4 and 5 ton capacities and spans ranging from 8 to 30'. contact the factory for special applications. Mast / Boom Connection: The wall cantilever style of the wall mounted jib cranes comes in two types: Welded connection, or bolted connection. the welded connection is utilized in most capacity and boom spans. in the larger spans and capacities, the bolted type of connection is utilized. Illustrations of the connections are shown below. Stiffeners are welded to the mast at the point where the wall brackets are connected to stiffen the web of the beam. finally, the trolley stops are bolted in place on the boom. Top and Bottom Wall Brackets Basic Description: The top and bottom wall bracket in this case are identical fittings, the fittings are of the same basic configuration for all models, except for the drilling dimensions. The fitting consists of a formed channel, a fabricated bracket, two bronze bushings and bolt to provide rotation. the fabricated bracket is constructed from a steel tube welded to plating in an i arrangement which is then welded to the flange of the column. the tube contains two bronze bushings and a grease fitting to assure ease of rotation.
